Narratological interest

I am a narratologist interested in storytelling in intertextual, metafictional and nonlinear narratives in comics and graphic novels. My research involves transmedial and cognitive narratology with the anthropological approach broaden by concepts from humanities and sciences and examining mental processes of understanding narrative and narrative strategies (including narrative identity or deconstruction of Grand Narratives as the source of knowledge about entity and the world, e. g. trauma, genocide, postcolonialism). My conclusions resulting in new approach and new narrative tools are presented in my book “Narrative in Graphic Novels” to be published in April 2016 in Poland by the Scientific Publishers PWN.
